The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, January 9 reveals Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be terrified, when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) suddenly cries out in pain.
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be stunned by Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) offer. Plus, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be suspicious of Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) behavior. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be shocked by Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) admission.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will continue talking about stealing the AI from Victor. Cane will ask why she doesn’t have it already and Phyllis will say she can’t do it alone. “I need you.” So, Cane will agree to Phyllis’ plan. But he’ll tell her she doesn’t have to hack into Newman Enterprises.
“There’s an element built into the program, when triggered, causes the program to turn on its host,” Cane will say. “It’ll take out Newman Enterprises the way it took out Arabesque. I can make that happen.” Phyllis will be surprised he’s had this trigger the whole time and she’ll admonish him for keeping it a secret.

However, she’ll also ask Cane why he didn’t use it on Victor before. “Because it wasn’t going to win me back Lily and the kids,” he’ll reply. But it doesn’t matter anymore. “Oh my God,” Phyllis will say. “We’re gonna take Victor down.”
Meanwhile, Audra and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will reminisce about their time in LA and she’ll say they don’t have to be enemies. “Can we at least be friends, with caution?” Audra will ask and they’ll start giggling. Then Claire will walk in.
Audra will say hello and say she hopes they both enjoy the rest of their evening. “Hang on,” Claire will reply. “What is going on between the two of you?” Audra will say she doesn’t want to fight anymore. “I see no reason for us to continue being hostile,” she’ll add.
After Audra leaves, Claire will ask Holden what the hell that was. “I finally convinced her to back off,” Holden will reply. Claire will ask if he gave Audra a trade and won’t tell her the rest about what happened in LA. He’ll deny it and say there’s one thing they didn’t get to do on New Year’s Eve and he’ll kiss her.
At the hospital, Sharon will put Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) on blast. She’ll remind them there’s a dangerous lunatic roaming around and they’re putting themselves at risk. “I’m so sorry we scared you,” Sienna will reply. Sharon will say the whole situation has everyone on edge.
Then Nick will wake up, after his surgery, and say he dreamt he crashed his mom’s car and she was so mad at him. Sharon will tell him he was in an accident but it was with his own car. “Where’s Matt?” he’ll ask Sharon, Noah and Sienna. “They find him yet?”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Tells Victor He’ll Set Matt Loose
Noah will ask Nick why he was driving Matt towards the woods. But Nick will say it doesn’t matter. Noah and Sienna will leave the room and Sharon will be terrified when Nick suddenly starts moaning in pain and grabbing his leg.
At the ranch, Jack and Kyle will show up and tell Victor and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) they have Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in their custody. They’ll tell Victor they’re sure he’d rather have control of Matt and Jack will ask how far he’d be willing to go to make that happen.
Adam will ask why they’d make up a story like this and they’ll say they’re not lying. “I was shocked to see him very much alive in my living room,” Jack will add. Adam will ask how they pulled this off. “We had your entire family followed,” Kyle will reply.
“We give you Matt Clark, you give us the software program,” Jack will say. Victor will ask what if he refuses. “We set Matt Clark loose,” Jack will reply. “You have the power to stop this right now Victor, it’s a win-win, what do you say, we have a deal?”
Victor will tell Jack to let him go, he’ll find him. “You know I do everything for my family, that doesn’t mean I’ll accept your desperate attempt to bribe me.” Then Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will walk in. “Please give Jack the AI program so we can get Matt Clark out of our lives for good,” she’ll beg. Victor will assure Nikki he’ll soon be out of their lives.
Finally, Jack will say they can destroy the AI together so no one can ever use it again. “You show me proof that you have Matt Clark,” Victor will reply. Then Abbott security will drag Matt inside. Jack will ask if they have a deal. But will Victor say yes?
